Not going to write a full review, but I'll post my thoughts about the V5 vs RF-602. Just from playing with them, they seem to be more reliable than the RF-602s.
V5:-They work with my 5D at max sync speed (1/200). With the RF-602s I could only get clean images at 1/160 or slower.
-Transceiver design, more flexibility and overlap in terms of having backup gear.
-More channels.
-MUCH easier to switch channels, maybe too easy.
-Button/switch layout is better. With the RF-602s you can't really turn the receiver on/off while it's attached to a 580EX II hot shoe. With the V5s you can get to pretty much everything with it attached.
-Use of AAA batteries, so no weird/different sizes between units to deal with.
-Battery door design is really nice.
-They screw down onto your camera's hot shoe. The RF-602 transmitter was too loose for my taste.
-I like how they have a switch to turn them on. The transmitter on the RF-602 just has a button you press to wake it up. This is a poor design IMO, it seems like it has caused the system not to trigger my flash a few times because the transmitter wasn't awake, but I could be wrong. I just ike to know that it's actually on and ready to go. Also, the button isn't recessed and seems like it would be easy for something to press against it in my bag and drain the battery. Just my $0.02.
RF-602:-A good bit smaller than the V5s.
-Pretty much guaranteed not to change channels on accident. Think I may have done this with the V5s once, the dial seems a a little too loose.
